Day One Radio & Heart of the Nation Productions is a Christian radio production ministry making a variety of different types of programmes ranging from a weekly Christian music album chart show though discussion programmes to radio for young people.

These programmes are both positive and encouraging in content as well as having a Christian ethos.

We know from our own experience as broadcasters, working for the BBC, in UK commercial radio and in Christian radio, that there is a dearth of British made programming with a Christian ethos.

Christian radio stations have also told us that they currently have to rely mainly on US originated programming for their speech content.

Members of our team were involved in the consultations prior to the publication of the Ofcom Broadcasting Codes that govern UK broadcasting, especially the religious sections of the code.

We therefore are thoroughly aware of these regulations and we make sure that all the programmes that we produce and distribute conform to these regulations.

These regulations are very positive and do not cause us any problems and do allow Christian ministries and churches that work with us to “seek recruits”.
